He's Home!!!!

He's home! We had to be at the gym last night at 7:45. We got the first call that they were in Germany a little after 5, and then at 7 got another call that we needed to be at the gym in 45 minutes. I had to call the 5 ladies under me, get dressed, fix my hair, put on make up, and make sure the kids were dressed and drive to the gym. So no time to update! It was really a whirl wind!

Once home we had dinner together as a FAMILY (I'd made enchilada casserole..simple, easy, and good!)...he played with the kids and we just hung out for a while. Emma wouldn't let go of him, it was the sweetest thing ever! The smile on her face has barely left since last night!!! The boys are just insanely happy. It's so hard to describe everything, it's definitely an atmosphere that you simply have to be there to truly understand.

I'll get some pictures up here in the next day or two. We're going swimming after Emma's up from her nap and Chad will join us when he's done with his 1st day of reintegration if he's not home before we leave.

Well I need to go. Thank you for all the support and love.

  1. Welcome HOME, Chad! Thank you for your undying service to our country. That you made it home before one of the biggest celebrations of our Nation's Freedom...that's wonderful! But...that you made it home, safe and sound to be with you family - that's GOD'S WORK. May He be with you as you return to your "normal" once again.

  4. So awesome and so happy for you! I can't imagine what it's like. I have a hard time picturing our family together again after being apart for so long.
I'd love to hear about the reintegration process you all go through. Something needs to change. I think Dave is in for a surprise, coming home to all four after having his own place forever, eating when he wants, having quiet when he wants, etc.
    So happy for you!
