Not Me Monday

I haven't played "Not Me Monday" for quite a while.... but here goes!

We did not go to Berlin last weekend and I still have NOT posted pictures that I promised to post in only a couple days afterwards, no I'm more on top of things than that!

We do not live in an area of Germany that does not get much snow and yet we surely did not already get our first snow of the year, in the MIDDLE of OCTOBER! I was not secretly excited that Jackson's soccer game was cancelled on Thursday because of that snow and the insane cold temps!

Jacob did NOT go to football practice on that same snowy Thursday and not take his gloves as was suggested by his wise mother, and did not come home in tears because his fingers were freezing. I was obviously sympathetic and did not tell him that hopefully he learned a hard lesson and would next time listen to his mother. (Ok maybe I was sympathetic, but still shared words of wisdom)

I did not surely go to Poland (yes the country) on Friday with my dear friend Heather and did not have a wonderful time buying pottery for myself as well as 2 of my friends! I do not enjoy shopping at all, especially shopping for polish pottery, I mean that's not fun!

I surely did not take pictures of my favorite shop so I could share with my friends and here on my blog to give you all a small glimpse of what the stores look like with pottery from floor to cieling!

Jacob did not have an awesome football game on Saturday. He did NOT sack the quarterback 8, count them EIGHT times and I am surely NOT a proud momma!

Not Me Monday

Today was not a better day, and I was not in a better mood over all.

Chad did not come home today and then take the boys canoeing , and they did not have a wonderful time!

I did not enjoy having a girls only day and remember how easy it is with just one child! LOL

When Chad came home I did not hurry and get ready and go out ALONE 100% ALONE to see a movie, The Proposal. I did not really like it!!

I most definitely did not enjoy my quiet walk home from the movie!

I am not sick and tired of all the Michael Jackson love fest. I do not think he was a pervert and think people have lost their minds in making him into a saint. I do not literally gag at times when I see the stuff. I surely do not change the tv channel as quickly as possible.

I was not up until 5 AM last night because I could not sleep and did not end up watching a
movie called "Dad" with Ted Danson and did not cry a few times.

I am not ready for Chad to start block leave, so we can start cleaning and rearranging!

I do not smell cigerette smoke right now and am not gagging. I do NOT HATE smoking and really do not mind the fact that I have to ingest their cancer causing agents.

I am NOT excited that I have lost 15 lbs so far, many more to go, but hey I'm not proud of myself for this nice start!!

I am not slightly concered about what we'll be eating while driving across France, since I've heard that on a moderate budget the food is NOT good (a country that's food is, you get what you pay for...yikes~!)

I am not excited to go to Normandy, to experience the beauty and the history. To share with the boys what Normandy means. To explore the rest of the area as well.

Not Me Monday

MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

It was not me who was resizing pictures last night, and have Emma start crying for her Daddy as a picture of the two of them popped up, and I surely did not start crying with her.
I surely do not think it's amazingly sad and sweet that at 19 months she obviously has the ability to truly MISS her Daddy who up until 6 weeks ago was pretty well a man on a big screen every month or so (VTC's), the telephone, and in pictures.

It was not me who whined and complained about having to get up at 5:30 to go on a FREE retreat this past weekend. I mean come on I'd surely be more grateful than that, than to whine over a free trip the post chapel (Army) was paying for. Humph, how selfish would *I* be?

It was not me who got her butt humbled during PWOC because of something I did, although I surely do not have friends who told me I had nothing to feel humbled about. (Side note, I can't no scratch that won't go into it, but I don't regret it, just more so how things were handled).

It was not me who kept dunking Emma at the pool while at our retreat. I mean how MEAN would that be? (She loved it and kept trying to get me to do it! LOL)

It was absolutely NOT my Jackson who acted terrified to go up the top of the slide (seriously high!!!), who then after discovering it was fun and not terrifying, went down at LEAST 50 times alone and have a blast.

Not Me Monday/Post 400

This is surely not my 400th post and I surely don't admit to wanting some comments about that! I mean come on, it's 400!! LOL (Seriously I don't care that much, but thought it'd be fun to write about it)

Chad did not leave last Monday and there for I did not opt out of this last week, because I was feeling sad and weepy.

I am not celebrating because Jackson's figuring out reading, it's the beginning.

I can NOT believe that Emma AND Jackson have both managed to get sick once AGAIN this week. Good grief. I'm am not tired of my kids puking and having diarreah, I mean come one who WOULDN'T enjoy it?

I am not happy that I got to go to PWOC last week, it wasn't just what I needed?

I am not still working on figuring out my new camera, and have not enjoyed taking photo's with it! I still do not have a lot to learn.

Emma was not giggly today because she is feeling good finally. She did not crack me up.

We did NOT go outside and enjoy the sunshine on Wednesday. It was not bright and beautiful outside. It of course was NOT freezing out though! I did not have to bring Emma inside because her fingers were so cold (she did NOT lose her mittens in Salzburg when we were there the week before).

I am not hoping for sunshine this week, I enjoy cloudy days after cloudy days. It doesn't effect my mood. Nope not at all.

Not Me Monday

If you want to play go on over and read the rules and join in!
Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

It is not me who's celebrating my birthday, I'm surely not going to tell you my age, 32, and I sure am not completely enjoying my 30's. No as women we're not supposed to enjoy our 30's. Phhhh

It is NOT me whose husband is home from Iraq for R&R and is pretty sure not
a single person who does this can top these first two! Wahoo! LOL

It is not me who's taken a nap a few times the last few days!

It is not my husband who is making me a birthday dinner! I am surely NOT bragging! LOL

It is not me who's getting a van at the end of the week either! (It's used, but it's a van none the less)

It is not me who'll be in Salzburg, Austria next Monday so I will not be able to participate next week! wahoo! LOL

I do not have to go because my birthday dinner is done! LOL

Have a great week and join in!

Not Me Monday

Yep it's Monday and as usual I wait until late in my evening to do it, because If I even attempt to blog while my children are up they surely do NOT start pestering me and wanting all of my attention. Surely you know that children are to be seen and not heard, especially in our home!

I did not find myself a little weepy on Saturday as we celebrated Jacob's 8th birthday. EIGHT years, wow have they flown by.

I am not listening to Jackson hack up a lung right now, and kicking myself for forgetting to make a run to the clinic to get more cough syrup for the poor kid.

I was NOT thrilled to find out that Emma is finally eating again. She was more or less on a food strike for the last couple of weeks. I was not getting concerned at all. I did not do a little happy dance when I found out she ate a whole pear, tons of cheerio's, sweet potatoe snacks, and a few other things while at my friends home and drank all of her cup of water! I also was not thrilled that she ate a decent dinner either!

I'm definitely not doing the happy dance that my baby girl seems to finally be on her way to feeling better!

I am definitely NOT overwhelmed at all I still have to get done before Chad gets home. I also do not think others will tell me not to worry about cleaning because they think he'll be happy no matter what. I do not know that he will most definately not really care, but that I CARE and I am the one that's ASHAMED and want our home to be relaxing when he comes home to it!

My bed is absolutely NOT covered in clothes that need to be put away. I do NOT wash clothing and then leave them in baskets for weeks and MONTHS. Nope, that is absolutely NOT ME!

I am not about to bust out of my skin knowing that Chad should be in Kuwait as I type this.

I am NOT insanely excited that before this weekend appears my husband should be in my arms! Oh who are we kidding, I'm so excited. I mean come on, it's been 8 1/2 months! Most women cry over an overnight away!

I did NOT drag a footlocker down to our storage room, and did not manage to pull a muscle or at least strain one, when I had to pick it up and put it up in our storage room. I did not almost cry because of the pain. There is not still one other footlocker just sitting out here in the dining room. Those footlockers are surely not filled with clothes Emma has outgrown and that this Momma is not ready to part with yet!! :X

I have not gotten really, really, really annoyed with some people when on facebook I did a little meme on my first born, who's JordYn and people kept writing her name with an "A" in it. I did not go back and write her name again as a response. It does not annoy me that people can not pay attention to details, especially when it comes to HER.

I will not get to have my husband home in a few days and I did NOT already write about this!

I was not excited to see the Steeler's win? I am not actually a Kansas City Chief's DIE HARD fan, but cheered for the Steeler's none the less, because 1. they're a great team and 2. they're an AFC team and well sometimes you just need to stick with your league! LOL

What did you NOT do last week???

Monday, January 19, 2009

Well here we are again, It's "Not Me! Monday" so go on over to MckMama's (click on the graphic above) read the rules (they're simple don't worry!!) and join in! It's fun, it's easy, and hey don't worry because we know that everything you posted, you absolutely surely never did! I mean who'd confess all their weekly sins on a blog for the world to read?
This morning when my boys got up and discovered it was raining in our part of Germany and that their beloved snow was washed away and whining about it, it was NOT ME who told them to just "get over it". I have more compassion than THAT!
It was definitely not me who "hung up" on my husband while talking on Skype because a helicopter was flying over and was scrambling things up so I could not understand him. I was NOT completely mean and did NOT yell into the microphone that I'd HAD IT and he'd just have to type". I mean come on, I have been apart from my husband for almost 8 months, he's in a WAR, I would NEVER, EVER yell at that sweet precious man who had no control over that.
It was also not me that after that felt like utter and complete dog doo and asked his forgiveness, and it was not him who said "forgive what" which did not make me feel even worse, because he's ultimately just a nicer person than I am!
It was NOT me who skipped taking her children to the library on Thursday and then told them we'd go on Sunday and it was definitely not me who did not take them on Sunday either (never mind that their sister is sick). So it's surely not me that has to take them tomorrow or be pegged the biggest loswer of a homeschooling mom! :X
It was not me who sat down a few days ago and ate a whole POUND of twizzlers in about 3 hours. Nope that wasn't me.
It's surely not me that's already so sick of hearing all the inaguration junk and thinks I may actually get sick if I have to listen to anymore of it. (But I am praying for him, even though I don't want to...I'm doing it)
It was NOT me who did not do any laundry for 2 weeks. It was not me who finally decided that I HAD to do it today, because my kids and myself are completely out of socks. It was also not me that discovered I had left clothes in the laundry room since I last did laundry and was horrified at myself!
I did not jump up and down Saturday when Chad through our special code of dates (those of us in the military can't just give out dates, you never know who's watching, reading, or listening aka OPSEC/Operation Security) told me when he should be home for R&R. I did not try to call Emily and Tami and was not absolutely saddened that I couldn't get ahold of them because they both pretend to have a life outside of my needs. (Humph!) So it wasn't me who just came on here blogged all about it!
It's not me who might actually jump my husband when I see him! (oops did I actually write that??????)
It is not me who has a box sitting right beside me all ready for Chad for the last oh two weeks, and has not taken it to the post office. I mean what kind of Army wife would I be if I wasn't sending my husband multiple care packages a month. That'd be horrible wouldn't it?!
I was not ticked off and really annoyed that the exchange student who lived with our family my senior year, was able to visit my parents last week. I did not want to spit nails. I did not have those feelings because I was surely not jealous and there's no way I thought that my parents didn't deserve a visit less than me! (I'm not all about me that way)
Jackson did not lock himself in a bathroom on Friday night while we were at the Hospitality House. It was not me who had to squat and talk him through putting the key BACK into the lock and turning it so he could get himself out. It was not me who was thinking that who ever built the house was a complete idiot for the way they put the door on (the hinges are on the INSIDE of the bathroom) and it was not me trying to figure out HOW I was going to break into that bathroom if he couldn't get it opened. It was not me who had to walk into another room after he got the door unlocked and breath very deeply so I wouldn't cry.
Emma did not close her bedroom door on Saturday and bang on it over and over again saying "helloooooooooooooo" because she wanted out. I did not ignore her for a second because I thought it was funny.
It is not me who's counting down the days until my husband is home. I am positively not excited, and ready to jump out of my skin to see him. It will not be 8 1/2 months since he left by the time he got home. I really have no right to be excited.
Ok so...come on and join in on the fun! :) Share all those things you didn't do this past week!

Not Me Monday

It's Not Me Monday time, if you're not sure what it's all about click on the graphic above and go visit MckMama and find out! Ultimately I'll give you the scoop...you write all those things that you surely did NOT do and would obviously never ever ever blog about! I mean really, we're all full of class here! :) So come on and join us and tell us all about what you obviously did not do this past week!

I did not plan on writing down various things to blog about for this post last Monday, and then totally FORGET to write a single thing down, I have a brilliant mind that never forgets anything.

Emma most definitely is NOT sticking that doll pacifier up her nose and she did NOT think it was the funniest thing ever and keep doing it over and over again and totally pose for me 100 times to take pictures of her sticking it up her nose (don't worry it's not long, very short piece lol).
And I would NEVER blog AND post a picture of her doing that, I mean that's gross and one day she'll be mortified that I put this out there!

I did not laugh at Jackson tripping over the Christmas tree, which is in it's storage bag, which has been laying here since LAST Monday (you know I already took that down to the basement, I'm not some lazy bum who's just letting it lay in the middle of my dining room!). I mean I am not so mean that I'd laugh at my kidding falling, no that would not be me!

I did NOT just get off the phone with my Brazilian sister Michele who's visiting my parents. I am not envious of my parents and sort of peaved that THEY get to have 2 1/2 days with her and I get none. I am most definitely not feeling a little crushed that she was in London in MAY (of last year) for 9 days and had she known I lived in Germany she would have came to see me. I most definitely did NOT give her a guilt trip about being so bad with email, and did not actually say "well if you checked your email you'd have known I was living in Germany" I wouldn't say that to someone I love and who I have not seen in 9 1/2 yrs!!! LOL I love her and just miss her! (BTW she was an exchange student with our family my Senior year and we became immediately like sisters)

I am not trying to teach Emma how to say please when she wants to nurse and did NOT absolute refuse to nurse her until she said please (or signed please). I did not keep giggling at her when she would look at me all desperate and still refuse to say please and would instead very head strongly say "NO". LOL (She DID finally sign please with MY help! LOL)

I did not veg out on the couch this morning and watch Snow White with my kids. I did not love watching it with them and I did not crack up as Emma tried to sign "Hi-Ho" LOL It was not cute watching her dance around! I don't like that.

Jackson did NOT slip on the ice, 2 seconds after I told him not to run because of the ice. I did not get annoyed with him and laugh all at the same time. I tell you, I'm a compassionate mother!

I did NOT sit in my bathtub the other night and sob while reading a book, that was about a soldier and his girlfriend and her parents and did not keep thinking about Chad have to silently admit my fears of him being in Iraq, I did not sob as it described the soldiers mother being told that her son was killed in Iraq, I definitely did not think of Jordyn and how awful it felt to say goodbye to her one last time before they put her into the ground. I did not have to remind myself that she is NOT in the ground, but in Heaven with our Lord.

I definitely did not think of my living children and God surely did not convict me that I need to be a softer place for them. I most definitely am not one that errs on the harder, more sterner side of things. Nope not I.

I did not take this picture and find it far too funny at their different reactions and did not keep it, even though it's kind of blurry because it makes me laugh!

I did not let Jacob wrestle with Emma and gently toss her down on the loveseat and listen to her crack up. No, safety first people. I don't let me kids rough house! Someone could break a leg, or arm....no! My little girl is very girly and she does not like to be tossed around!
Emma was NOT playing DarthVater and was not breathing loudly like she's heard her brothers do. She did not also DANCE and get down. She absolutely did NOT sing VERY loudly because she obviously liked the sound of her voice inside the helmet. No! I did NOT take a picture because I think she's the cutest thing around!
