Can I tell you how reaffirming it is to know I am not alone? Earlier today I really just felt like I was going to explode. The frustration of disobedient children, Chad not here and not going to be here for 6 more months. Thank you!
The rest of my day was good. The babysitter arrived on time, I left and arrived at my friends home (the babysitter's mom!), and had a great 2 hours at the Pampered Chef party! Have I shared how much I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE Pampered Chef? Yeah...I love Pampered Chef! My kitchen is FULL of PC! So that was awesome and a lot of fun. Then we went to a birthday party. It was what it was. It was at the bowling alley. The boys had fun bowling, Emma had fun eating (lol), and then it was time to come home. Jack was tired and went to bed early.
Tomorrow is kind of a busy day...we have church, come home have lunch, work with the boys one last time on their Awana verses, then head to Awana by 4 pm, then it's home, dinner (I'm making black beans in the crock pot and rice), showers, bible, and bed time.
I have another confession. I've been terrible about reading the bible with the boys. So we'll be doing devotions every night. I am thinking we're going to start our days off with a devotion as well. I want the 1st one to be Jacob reading it though.
For those who also remember my prayer request for my friends little boy, Trystan, please keep praying. I have not heard any news on him, etc. Please just keep praying. No matter they have a long road ahead of them. Pray for Sonia and Gary (mom and dad) and Kharisma (big sister). Thank you!
God Bless

Do you ever want to run away?
There are days that I'd like to quit my job. Yep, just throw in the towel and scream "I'm OUT of here! HA!" and RUN, far far away. What's my job you ask? I'm a mom and army wife who's in the midst of a 15 month deployment. Guess what, it's not always easy. I love my children, but I don't always find joy in it. It breaks my heart that, that little fact is true, but it is what it is. Being at this alone is not what I personally want, but it's what God's called me to do. I honestly don't know why, especially days like today. To just give you an idea of my day...let me tell you I RARELY blog during the day because we're too busy, too much to do....but well I'm so stressed out I had to get away from it on and that's what blogging is for me, an escape.
I have my music on listening to words praising our Lord, reminding me of what this is ALL about. I know my flesh is fuming. I'm angry and frustrated at my boys. I'm sure my anger is a drop in the bucket to the Lord's when I've disobeyed him, when I've out and out sinned and known better. I'm struggling with that fact RIGHT now actually. Part of me wants to scream and cry, the other part says "no time to pull your big girl panties on and be the Momma". You know what though, I hear it...that whisper getting louder, do you know what it's saying? "I don't WANT TO". Yep. Ok I've put it out there. There are times I just don't want to do this. I want to look the Lord in the face and ask him what he was thinking leading me to mother and be an Army wife. I mean seriously he knows ME, he knows how I AM...why would he want to subject my children to ME? I have a temper and am easy to fly off the handle. I scream at times, and are you ready for this??? I even SPANK. Yep I'm a spanker and if you don't like it, tough!
I find that I spank less and less, but it's still there at times and it was so done today. I know this blog is making little sense, but my head just feels like it's going to explode. I had a headache when I woke up, it left, but it's returning. I'd love to take a nap, but I can't. I have a Pampered Chef party to go to and then the boys were invited to a birthday party at the bowling alley (oh joy). I'm all about the PC party, the BP not so much.
Ok I know I was all over the place, sorry about that. It is what it is though. I have laundry in the washers that need to be placed into the dryers and more clothes to go into the washers, so I better get that done before my babysitter gets here. I promise when I write again, it'll be with a better frame of mind.
I do love my kids, just frustrated with them right now.

Amanda'sL Toot Your Own Horn Jubilee
“I’ve been challenged to participate in a blog jubilee. Against my better judgment, I have been told to brag about something good, positive, uplifting, or kind that I did this past week. It’s not easy to boast about my thoughtfulness, but in return I will be allowed to build up and encourage other women! Feel free to visit Amanda at iammommy.typepad.com to join in the jubilee!”
So for the 2nd week in a row I'm participating.
Today at the end of PWOC, I stayed and helped clean up. Normally I feel rushed to get out and leave, so we can get home, have lunch, get Emma down for her nap, and start school so that Jacob's not doing it until 5 PM. Today we had lunch at PWOC so one big step was done. Not only did I help clean up the floors I cleaned a disgusting high chair that a fellow sister allowed her child to get filthy and then leave. Ok I admit I rumbled about the high chair mess. It felt good to help clean the chapel's fellowship hall.
So are you a Mom, a wife, a woman who rarely lifts herself up in praise? Well go ahead and step outside of your box. I encourage you to not only blog about something good you did this week (because seriously isn't it nice to read about something nice someone did for others??), but go visit one of the other ladies blogs and read about what they did and get inspired!

Italy beach here we come
Guess what I just booked for 3 full days and nights? A room down in Livorno (American post) and we'll spend those days at the American Beach, visiting Pisa, and Florence! Oh I can't wait!!! The boys are really excited! We'll be going down in June. I booked us a Deluxe room, so I'll have a Queen size bed and two single beds, as well as a fenced in patio and BBQ grill! Once I get down there I'll run to the commissary and grab some hamb patties and brats, chips, etc so we can grill each day. We'll definitely eat some GOOD, TRUE Italian while we're down there at least a couple of times!
Right now my plan is to get up around 5 AM, be on the road by 6 AM and we should be down there by 3 pm or 4 hopefully at the latest. It's an 8 hr 45 min. drive from here. Ok I'll just say it now...how COOL is it that we get to go and enjoy a few days at the beach in Italy????? I am a small town Kansas girl. Beaches weren't exactly something we had tons of, unless you're talking about a lake. So don't think I take for granted for one moment what a spectacular blessing it is that we are going to this amazing place, have amazing memories. We've been to Italy once, but it was to Venice (and Vecinza-Army Post). We loved Venice and do want to go back there again and have more time to explore.
I'm hoping after Chad's home we can do Livorno again and then head down to Rome. My thoughts on that are we'd leave our van on post there at Livorno and take the train on down to Rome. Oh and tomorrow I'm going to go to our travel agency on post and am going to check out Cruises to Greece! The cruise is what we want to do when he comes home and we go on block leave (we'll have 30 days, although Chad may have more most likely because he has so much leave built up). If he gets more than the 30 days we may try the Rome trip during that time. I wish you all knew how excited I am!!!
Well this is a rare mid-day entry. Emma's up from her nap and the boys are finishing the school. I think we're going to walk down to the Commissary and pick up a few groceries for dinner and enjoy the nice weather!
Have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMMEDIATE PRAYERS for my friend
Please I'm asking each and everyone of you to start praying and ask everyone you know to begin to pray as well for my friend Sonia, her husband Gary, and most importantly their newborn son, Trystan. Trystan is their 4th child/3rd son. He was dx with the same disease that his 2 brothers died from and his sister is a survivor from.
Here's a website to learn more about the disease: http://www.histio.org/site/c.kiKTL4PQLvF/b.1851483/k.7487/Hemophagocytic_Syndromes.htm
Trystan has FHL, Gary and Sonia are obvious carriers, all 3 of his siblings have had this disease. This morning Trystan is going to have a central line (broviach) placed, and treatment will begin soon. Pray they can find a bone marrow donor quickly and easily for him, too.
We met Sonia and Gary when Jordyn was being treated at Walter Reed. We've remained very close over the years. Jordyn had been released from Children's for her bone marrow transplant and Christopher had remained there. Our dear nurse from WR called me saying Sonia wanted me to come up and be with them, because Christopher would be going home to Heaven soon. I was so truly honored to be allowed in the room as he left his Momma's arms for Jesus's arms.
Kharmisma was able to beat the disease and they decided to try to have another baby and pray he'd be healthy. Sadly Logan was not. A dear friend bought me a plane ticket and I was able to be with Sonia, meet Kharisma, and share Logan with me.
Also pray for my friend J, who's 6 month old is having unknown issue's. God knows what is going on, but if you'd ask for God's grace and mercy.

Stepping Outside Yourself
I'm here. Tomorrow, well ok it's 2:30 AM so it's officially today/Monday. Anyways, in the morning I was supposed to go and do interviews for our women's bible study group, for the next executive board. Unfortunately it does not look like I'll be making the first two interviews. They're two good friends of mine too, and well we're all ornery that it would have been fun to have fun with them, but no seriously it would have been a serious interview. The interviews will go on, just without me. I'm hoping by the afternoon Jack will be feeling better, or good enough for me to attend the one in the afternoon and then we have one more Tuesday afternoon.
So tell me is there anyone else who feels like there's so much on their heart that they want and need to write about, but knows that the energy (emotional) that it will take to write it all out, is so much, and it's so personal, deep in your heart, that you hold yourself back from doing so? Surely I'm not the only one. I keep it pretty real, but often don't get as deep as I want to. I have so many unpublished entries, you just do not know! There are times I am writing and find it's a conversation between me and GOD and it's simply at that time anyways, not meant for anyone else other than my own eyes to see and truly GET. Am I again the only one out there that has these unpublished entries that's more than just an entry, but your heart out there for Jesus to grab hold of?
Over the last few years I've grown in my relationship with Jesus. It's been one of tears, laughter, joy, and trampling. I've felt him calling me over and over again to step outside of my box. Let me tell you a few things about me. I truly enjoy public speaking. Seriously, I love it. It's a calling from the Lord and the times he's called me forth it's something I feel from him. He's calling me again to share a devotion at PWOC and I'm looking forward to it, but oh my the topic is what I am stepping outside of my box over. As much as I like to speak publically, praying outloud is NOT in my comfort zone. What has GOD been demanding of me though? To pray outloud, in front of others, not just a couple others, not just my family, oh no but a class full of women, and now, now do you know what he wants me to do? He wants me to tell these women they need to step out of their box and start praying like they've never prayed before. That they need to find that thing that they are so not comfortable with and start doing it. They need to start being obedient. Oh I am getting chills just thinking about this and not in the good way, but in the oh so uncomfortable way. Telling a room full of women it's time to stop staying inside their comfort zone, is NOT comfortable for me, but I KNOW, oh how I know I must be obedient. So....please start praying for me now. I have to give this devotional/testimony in 2 weeks I believe. I have to have it written up I think by this or next week. It's the week of the 16th that I give it, so I think I have to have it written up by next week.
Thank you for praying for me. Thank you for praying for my family as we've been sick this winter. It's truly insane the amount of times we've been sick. It's really ridiculous. I know all of you who've been covered in inches upon inches of snow are ready for spring, I am too. I'm ready to open up all my windows and air my home out. I'm ready to get my kids outside every day for at least 3-6 hours a day. I'm ready for us to stop being sick! About 45 minutes ago, Jackson who was sleeping in here woke up. He smelled awful and he discovered he'd had an accident. Yes we can all say it....ewwwwwww. Trust me it was eww! So he goes to the bathroom, I grab a bathing and put his nasty clothes in it, so tomorrow I can wash them, but keep them from stinking up the place until then! He asks to take a bath, I said sure. So he gets in, I'm in here on the this, and I hear "ewwww, oh no, oh no" Well the little man did NOT wipe so well. This was something I'd told him to do too! Oh nasty life lessons I tell you. So, we turn on the shower, pull the tub plug, and I wash him all up. He's running a fever and while he was in bed with me (he decided he wanted to go and try to sleep in his bed again) he was so restless. I am not one who gives meds often or quickly. I believe that fevers happen for a reason, they have a job to do, and I try not to interfere in that job, unless it's causing some true interference into the said child's life. Well this fever most definitely was. So he got some Tylenol, a nice warm shower, clean clothes, and a warm and very comfortable bed. I want him to be as comfortable as possible and to just get better.
Well since I'm sitting here falling asleep at the keyboard I'd say it's a sign that I need to sign off of here and go to sleep!
God Bless and sorry if this doesn't make sense, I may be more tired than I think I am!

Not Me Monday/Post 400
This is surely not my 400th post and I surely don't admit to wanting some comments about that! I mean come on, it's 400!! LOL (Seriously I don't care that much, but thought it'd be fun to write about it)
Chad did not leave last Monday and there for I did not opt out of this last week, because I was feeling sad and weepy.
I am not celebrating because Jackson's figuring out reading, it's the beginning.
I can NOT believe that Emma AND Jackson have both managed to get sick once AGAIN this week. Good grief. I'm am not tired of my kids puking and having diarreah, I mean come one who WOULDN'T enjoy it?
I am not happy that I got to go to PWOC last week, it wasn't just what I needed?
I am not still working on figuring out my new camera, and have not enjoyed taking photo's with it! I still do not have a lot to learn.
Emma was not giggly today because she is feeling good finally. She did not crack me up.
We did NOT go outside and enjoy the sunshine on Wednesday. It was not bright and beautiful outside. It of course was NOT freezing out though! I did not have to bring Emma inside because her fingers were so cold (she did NOT lose her mittens in Salzburg when we were there the week before).
I am not hoping for sunshine this week, I enjoy cloudy days after cloudy days. It doesn't effect my mood. Nope not at all.
